ArcSoft Scan-n-Stitch Deluxe is an image scanner and stitcher. It was designed to allow people to scan large documents or pictures in parts and then stitch them back together automatically. Let's use as an example a movie poster. You can't fit it entirely inside your scanner. What you can do is scan different parts of it one by one. You can start scanning from left to right and then go down. You will get several different images that are supposed to make up one larger image. This application can automatically detect the order of the images and "stitch" them back together.
ArcSoft Scan-n-Stitch Deluxe can either scan the images itself or it can use previously scanned images. Actually, any images will do as long as they are similar in terms of resolution and as long as they have common features that the application can detect. I used a couple of pictures that I took with my camera to create a panorama. The application successfully put my three pictures in the right order and it created a very good looking panorama. It works just as well with scanned images, since, generally, they have better resolution.
There is a variety of tools that you can use to edit the stitched image after it has been processed. You can crop the image or rotate it and after you are done with it you can save it. The trial version won't save your stitched image.
